Privacy Policy — Monetally

Monetally is a personal finance tracking app. This policy explains what data we handle.

Data stored on your device

All your financial data (transactions, categories, settings) is stored locally on your device using SQLite. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to this data.

Google Drive Backup (optional)

If you choose to enable Google Drive sync, Monetally requests access to Google Drive using the drive.file scope. This access is used exclusively to:

• Upload a backup of your local database to your own Google Drive
• Restore that backup to your device on request

Monetally only accesses files it has created. It cannot read any other files in your Google Drive. Your backup data is stored in your personal Google Drive account and is never transmitted to our servers (we have none).

Third-party services

Monetally uses Google Sign-In and the Google Drive API solely for the optional backup feature. Google’s privacy policy applies to your use of those services.

Data sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third party.
